The Forest Adventure is open 10am-4pm. Ticket holders may head to the Forest anytime from 10am and may come in and out of the Forest Adventure any number of times during the day. Please make sure you check in at the coffee shop before heading down to the Forest as you’ll need your stickers, quiz sheets and Health & Safety information. If you prefer a quiet time arrive just before 10am or after 2pm.

No sorry, tickets are non refundable, non transferable and non exchangeable. We have limited capacity and so tickets are valid for the day purchased only, unless we are forced to close the forest due to severe weather etc, in which case you will be able to obtain a voucher for a new date. Please check the weather and your diary before purchasing tickets and check your basket carefully before completing your purchase
There is no cost to visit the farm, other than visiting the Forest Adventure – for which tickets must be purchased. There are some animals to see…hens, goats, pigs and a few ducks and there are usually sheep and cows in the fields around. We do not offer animal petting and ask you please never to feed our animals.
We offer a free ticket to holders of Max cards and Durham carer’s cards and anyone that can offer us proof that they are a carer. You will be given your ticket on arrival, each carer must be accompanied by a full priced ticked holder and must bring proof of identity. Full priced tickets must be purchased in advance online.
The Forest Adventure is free for under 2s. Everyone aged 2 or older must have a ticket
Most of the paths are wheel friendly, although not all, and the more off-road type push chairs and wheelchairs are the best. Plenty of our visitors do manage with pushchairs and there is a special entrance for these to the left of the bridge.
We accept payment by cash and card, including contactless and ApplePay. We do not accept American Express
Well behaved dogs are allowed on leads across our site and in the Coffee Shop, at our discretion
We have ducks, goats, pigs, chickens and sheep to see when you visit, but we are not a petting farm and request that you do not feed our animals as they are fed organically
Please do bring a picnic, we have a picnic area next to the car park. We do not permit picnics in the Coffee Shop, Forest Adventure or Play Field areas. Please bring your own rugs and picnic chairs, we have four picnic benches in the picnic area, but can not guarantee they will be free when you’d like to picnic! Please take all of your rubbish home with you.
Yes, all parking on site is free for Broom House customers. Please do not use the car park when we are closed! Please wear sensible shoes as Broom House is a working farm and can get muddy!
