Thank you so much for visiting us for Open Farm Sunday.

Have you ever wondered about the story of beef or lamb from field to fork, or how we farm organically in the North East of England? If so, then this is the event for you! You’ll get the chance to visit parts of the farm that are normally inaccessible and ask lots of questions about organic livestock farming!

Open Farm Sunday at Broom House Farm was on Sunday 11th June 2023

No tickets are required, we’ll ask for a £2 cash donation per head on the gate for our 2023 charity. This will also give you an entry into our raffle to win a Forest Adventure family day pass. Please remember to bring cash as donations will be at the gate and we have no mobile card machine there.

Events 

• Farm tour (running every hour from 10:30am) to see arable land, hay meadows and hedgerows, and meet the shepherd, sheep & sheep dogs  
• Tractor ride to see cows & calves
• Visit the piglets, laying hens and goats
• Farm machinery display & quiz
• Welly throwing 
• Nature scavenger hunt
• Guess the vegetable
• Butchery demonstrations
• BBQ at the coffee shop from 12pm – please bring cash if possible to speed us up

The Forest Adventure will be open 10am – 4pm, tickets are available online now (BUY YOUR TICKETS HERE!)

The Farm Shop will be open from 10.30am

The Coffee Shop will be open 9am–5pm

Farm tours are aimed at all ages, sturdy pushchairs will be able to access all areas.
