All applicants must be articulate and polite and have good interpersonal skills, as these vacancies involve interaction with our customers.  Ability to use initiative is also important.



Part time work - for example

  • helping in the Farm Shop
  • Durham market on Saturdays (8.30am-2.30pm)
  • Farmers markets
  • Christmas Fairs
  • Extra help at busy times eg: before Christmas


This work will involve simple tasks such as pressing out beefburgers, packing sausages and other meat in the shop.

The work will also involve serving customers and handling money, it will involve work outdoors in all weathers and applicants must be mature enough to work independently.


Full training will be given

Hours - approx. 6-8 per week - £6 per hour or minimum wage (whichever is higher) 


  • applicants must be 16 or over
  • clean, smart appearance
  • some interest in meat/cookery would be helpful
  • car driver an advantage



Part time weekend work with possibility of extra hours during busy times. 

Approx 8 hours weekly to start.  Starting wage: minimum wage depending on age, this is negotiable depending on ability and experience.


This work will involve

  • Washing up, drying dishes, pans etc.
  • Clearing tables, cleaning - Floors, tables, toilets etc
  • Serving customers
  • Restocking fridges
  • Using the till
  • Making hot drinks
  • Helping with general tasks as required in a busy coffee shop
  • Some work may be outdoors in the Forest Adventure


Full training will be given 

  • applicants must be 15 or over
  • clean, smart appearance
  • some interest in cookery would be helpful
  • car driver an advantage
