New Season's Lamb in the Butchery

Meanwhile, Ian's made noisettes of lamb stuffed with black pudding, Michael's been showing his saddle of lamb filled with spicy apricot stuffing and Jamie's new recipe "beef sausage with red onion marmalade and cracked black peppercorns" is the current beefy best seller. We've been making our delicious Saddleback pork and bramley apple burgers alongside the usual selection of top notch beef and lamb quarterpounders.  Our monthly pitches at Durham Farmers' Market and our weekly stand in Durham Market Place every Saturday from 9am-2.30pm are well supported, in spite of the council moving us from one end to the other every week.  Do contact us if you would like us to bring any meat or eggs down to our stall for you.  

 

JUNE COMPETITION WINNER - Well done to GEOFFREY INSKIP! for his delicious sounding recipe for rack of lamb.  We'll be printing this recipe in the autumn as it contains beetroot chutney and we need to get a batch made!
